Launds Inn Museum

PHASE 1:-Initial opening of Launds Inn Museum, 14th of August 2004 to the public. RE-OPENED MAY 2008. The museum consists of the local history of the Colne Valley, in particular Upper Golcar, Pole Moor, and Scammonden. Other issues cover farming, Brewing, Inn Keeping and the way local people have lived over the centuries

PHASE 2:-Re-building of the old Launds Inn. Work commenced in April 2005, completed April 2008. We are now taking private bookings for the museum

PHASE 3:-The writing of a book in connection with Launds, Scammonden and the Broadbent's of the Colne Valley, an ongoing program of updating this website, researching local history for the Colne Valley and archiving until I am 99 years young!!!
